Day trip  San Dionisio Canyon . Multi-sport Day Trip

Great trip if you are driving from La Paz to San Jose (or the other way around) and want to stop in the area for a day´s exploration.

Starting at Santiago town, ride in our truck to El Refugio Ranch (optional strenuous uphill bike ride part way).  From there, it is an easy hike down to San Dionisio canyon.  Spend the rest of the day exploring the beautiful canyon and swimming in its granite pools of water, as well as playing on several natural water slides.

San Dionisio is seldom visited, but offers one of the most pristine stretches of river in Sierra de la Laguna.

Enjoy a delicious lunch at the ranch fixed by Doña Luz and learn to make your own tortillas over an open fire.

Easy, beautiful downhill bike ride part of the way back to Santiago.
